1. It is important to measure body temperature for preventing the spread of SARS. Design two types, contact and non-contact, of thermometers to measure the body temperature. (a). Draw block diagrams of your design for each type of thermometers including for example sensors, circuits, amplifiers, signal processing, output arrangement, and so on. (20%) (b). According to your designs in (a), describe as detail as possible about the function and electrical characteristics of each block, such as thermal sensors, circuits, sensitivity, and so on. (20%) (c). List all possible factors that could affect the accuracy, sensitivity, stability, and linearity of each thermometer you just designed. (15%)
     
2. The body temperature, breath, blood pressure, and blood flow may vary associated with the virus attack. (a). Provide and describe the elements, in block-diagram form, required for an automatic indirect system for measuring blood pressure. (15%) (b). Provide and describe the elements, in block-diagram form, required for a noninvasive system for measuring blood flow. (15%) (c). List all possible factors that could affect the accuracy, sensitivity, and stability of systems you just designed in (a) and (b). (15%)
